From Morning Star Ranch, in the mountains of San Diego County, raising goats and layer hens, we operate a ranching operation dedicated to a soil-first, biodiversity driven land management strategy--ways long forgotten by modern agriculture. Our facilities include San Diego County's only USDA-certified abattoir, which we maintain capacity for enabling local small farmers to process their livestock, under USDA guidelines, with the ability to sell through distribution.
We produce high-quality, USDA- and Halal-certified goat meat for local- and regional- communities. Our land management practices uses a "soil first" philosophy to maximize pasture health, which directly translates to the health of the livestock.
